What I Do

Stump grinding is all I do.

Not a tree company that also grinds. One trade, the right machine, sharp teeth.

Homeowners

One stump or a whole fence line.

  • Ground 6–10 inches below grade
  • Deeper for sod, patios or replanting
  • Chips raked up, site blown off
  • Haul-away and topsoil available

Storm & multi-stump

More stumps, lower price per stump.

  • Volume rate on 5+ at one address
  • Fence lines, tree rows, windbreaks
  • Surface roots that have lifted the lawn

Tree services & landscapers

I'm the grinder you call instead of buying one.

  • I invoice you, never your customer
  • No cards left on site
  • Per-inch sub rates, COI on file

How It Goes

How it works.

Text me a photo

Put a boot or a bucket next to it for scale. Most of the time I can quote from that.

You get a price and a day

Priced by the inch, in writing. Utilities get located before anyone starts.

I grind and clean up

Photos texted over if you weren't home. You pay after the work, not before.

For Tree Services & Landscapers

Stump grinding for tree services.

Sub me the stumps and keep your crew on removals.

  • Your customer stays yours. No cards, no flyers, no quoting past the stump.
  • I invoice you, not them. Net terms once we've worked together.
  • Per-inch sub rates with volume breaks.
  • Insured, COI on file. Yours to pass along.
  • Storm backlog? That's when I'm most useful.

Questions

Common questions.

How much does stump grinding cost in Geauga County?

By diameter inch, measured at ground level across the widest point, plus a minimum per trip. One average stump usually lands in the low hundreds. A row of them costs far less per stump. Text a photo for a firm number.

How deep do you grind?

Six to ten inches below grade, which covers grass, mulch or a garden bed. Fence post, patio or a new tree going in the same hole? Say so and I'll go deeper.

What happens to all the wood chips?

More than most people expect. I rake them into a pile on site and plenty of folks keep them for mulch. Want them gone? Haul-away and topsoil backfill are quoted up front.

Do I need to have utilities marked first?

Yes. Ohio law requires notifying OHIO811 before digging, and grinding counts. It's free. We confirm who's placing the call before the job is scheduled — I don't put a wheel in the ground until locates are done.

Can you get into my back yard?

Usually. My machine fits through a standard gate — I'll confirm the width when I quote. Tight access sometimes takes longer, and you'll hear that before the day, not after.

Do you remove trees too?

No, stumps only. Need the tree down first? I work with good tree services around here and will point you at one.

Are you insured?

Fully insured, and I'll send the certificate before I start. Anyone grinding on your property without coverage is a risk you're carrying, not them.

How soon can you get here?

Most Geauga County jobs inside the week. Storm weeks run longer, but you'll get a real date, and if it slips you hear it from me first.
